CC Engage Virtual Networking

Virtual networking rooms have now arrived here at Crowdcomms. 

CC Engage is the name of our Virtual Networking platform here at Crowdcomms. The rooms can be edited to suit the client. They can change the background, logo, and colour theme in the rooms. 

Groups of up to 8 people can form a "bubble" and start an audio and or video call with each other. Users are free to leave and join bubbles when they wish. This encourages networking with new people. 

If the client wishes they can link a live stream to the room. This will be played automatically to all users in the room and can be watched whilst in a “bubble”

All attendees in the room can also use the chat feature to talk to everyone in the room. 

Setting up a room in CMS 

  1. Log into CMS with your credentials
  2. Select App 
  3. Click on "Libraries" 
  4. Click on "Virtual Networking"

  1. Click "Add Room"
  2. Fill in the room title
  3. Click "Create"

  1. Check the "Show in Virtual Networking module" toggle to display the room in FE
  2. Fill in the description (The description is displayed in the Virtual Networking" module within FE)
  3. Edit times under the "Times" TAB as appropriate
  4. Edit groups as appropriate 
  5. Select the "Room Capacity" to a maximum of 100 users (A message will appear advising the user the room is full of the capacity level is reached) 
  6. Upload; background, logo and change colours as appropriate under the "Branding" TAB

  1. Click "Save"

Linking room to an Agenda session in CMS

  1. Click on "Builder" 
  2. Click on "Agenda" 
  3. Click on "Add Session"
  4. Fill in; Session title and times as appropriate
  5. Click Save
  6. Fill in all of the agenda TABS as appropriate 
  7. Click on the "Embed" TAB 
  8. Link CC Engage room under the "Networking Room" section using the dropdown menu

9. Click "Save"

Adding a LIVE stream in CMS

  1. Click on "Libraries"
  2. Click on "Create LIVE Stream" 
  3. Add the LIVE Stream title and video URL
  4. Click "Create" 
  5. Click on "Builder" 
  6. Click on "Agenda"
  7. Select Session with the CC Engage room attached and edit
  8. Click on the "Embed" TAB

  1. Under "Crowdcomms LIVE Streams" select your live stream using the dropdown menu
  2. Click Save 

Joining the room 

  1. Click on the "Agenda Session" you have created (You will then see an option to watch the live stream in your networking room
  2. Click on the option of "Join now" (This will open a separate window) for your room

  • A tutorial will automatically display for the user the 1st time they enter the room

Location Map 

Click on the "location" icon in the room to view a map which will then show you your current location within the room.

Teleporting

Click on the online users list and then click on the "Teleport" button next to the user you wish to travel to in the room. You will then see your avatar teleport across the room to near the person you selected.

Browser Requirements

Browsers must support WebGL. Browsers supported by the WebGLRenderer are:

  • Internet Explorer 11+,
  • Firefox 15+,
  • Chrome 11+,
  • Opera 19+

If you find that you still have trouble after checking the above then please check here to see if your browser settings are also compatible.

Note: Safari is not currently supported

FAQ's

  1. The "Administrators" TAB does not give users any different permissions than anyone else at the moment (Future development)
  2. Background images can take up to 24 hours to upload and show in the room
