Key Considerations & Next Steps
For a seamless experience, the planning stage is absolutely critical. By scoping out exactly what you want to achieve from your event app, virtual, or hybrid event platform, you set yourself up for a straight forward build process.
Ask yourself, what is the purpose of your event?
The CrowdComms platform has a vast feature set, the first question you should ask is why are you bringing these people together? A great event app / platform, will help deliver your event goals, whether these are seamless content sharing, session engagement, networking, or building a fun and memorable experience.... maybe its all of the above! Focus on building the app to support your event, some of the best event apps are simple and focus on key content and features rather than trying to do everything.
Now you have thought about the purpose of the event, we can plan out what options to include on the menu and home screen. Home screen are your key call to actions, and the menu allows for an overflow navigation for additional options.
Next Steps
We recommend collating all the required content (or most of it), into the required formats before you start building. You can make real time edits and add additional content at a later date if you need to do so.
You can download the Content Plan folders which will form the basis of your platform here. This is also included as an attachment on this guide, and will look like the below once downloaded.
Guidance on what is needed for each of the sub folders within the Content Plan is outlined below.
Please note: If you do not need one of the sub folders i.e. Sponsors, you can remove as required.
- Brand guidelines
- Images for your chosen home screen template
- Layout, platform plan
- Content
Below are the available modules and you can read more about what is included on each here
Example Home Screen Options:
Please note: You are not restricted to six options and can have as many as you need. Keep in mind that the more you have, the more choice you give your attendees. We recommend building a focused platform that drives attendees to the key information and engagement areas.
